Back and on the GO!

Mexico was great! Soaking in some Vitamin D was just what I needed! It was a fantastic trip although, our airline went bankrupt, in the end it all worked out!
But, wow I can't believe how busy I have been since Mexico. That's when I use my "LEE" step for doing my makeup. There are 3 areas that bring out your face. Lips, Eyes and Eyebrows! Starting from the top, your Eyesbrows structurize your face(believe it or not!), Eyes brighten your face and Lips give you that glow. So before I rush out I make sure my Eyebrows are filled in, my Eyelashes are stroked and my Lips have been dipped in high gloss. By having these 3 simple steps before rushing out you'll be glowing in seconds! For your Eyebrows try using powder eyeshadow. This way your eyesbrows won't look too over powering and it'll make your Eyebrows look softer and suttle. Choose a colour that is a shade lighter if you have dark to medium hair and if you have Lighter(blond) hair try to choose a soft light brown also make sure that it matches your skin tone. I love Lancome's eyeshawdows, they last forever on me(don't ever think that eyeshadows are only for your lids!). As for eyelashes, for bringing out that flare! You can use something that is inexpensive such as Avon's Waterprood mascara for $6.00 or something a little sassy like Lancom's High Definition mascara reatailed at $28.00. Both mascaras I find are great! Remember to not pump your mascara, it can loose it's hydration and dry out faster! Also, do not over stroke your lashes, it'll look over done, clumpy and so over due! (Less is always more) Lastly the lips! If all you have is Vaseline then you go girl! You can rock out to basically anything from Petroleum Jelly to Mac's Superglass lip gloss. Although, the price range between the 2 is more then $15.00, it surely does the magic!(As long as you can keep your lips from drying out and get them plumped) I hope that this really helped! I love using my "LEE" steps, it's so easy and it takes less then a minute to do before rushing out on a busy day!

Anyways, let's see what I did for the month of May so far...
May 4th = Cut Ian's Hair
May 8th = mani+pedi party for babyshower, you girls were great!
Yesterday = Hair date with boyfriend's sister and mom. I'm glad you love your hair Alison and Laura!
May 26th = My birthday!
May 30th = Hair Date for Wedding

And for when June comes, i'm teaching at the college! I can't wait!

*Remember LIPS, EYES, EYESBROWS!

Mexico Here I Come!

Departure date is tomorrow at 2:20pm and i'm gone for 7 days in Mexico! I can't hardly wait! I'll be sun bathing in the beautiful Mexican sun with some of my bestest girlfriends who includes Pachee, Amy and her little one Olivia and ofcourse my younger sister whom I can't live without Suni.

This will be my second trip with my younger sister to an all inclusive resort. The first trip was in March 2009. We went to Dominican Republic for my older sister's wedding. We had so much fun. Ofcourse, I did the hair and makeup.

I started off with bride the day before the wedding with a mani+pedi.

Finally on the wedding day we woke up in the morning for about 7am for hair and makeup.

With the bride(My older sister), I started with her hair. A little bit of tease on the top of the hair, pulled back with pins and with beautiful tight soft curls. I used my favourite stay put hairspray, got2b glued blasting freeze spray. Never leaves your feeling heavy nor leaves that white sticky residue on your hair.

As for her makeup application I used my favourite inexpensive foundation L'Oreal true match. I find that if you never wear makeup this is the perfect foundation for you. It looks natural and feels great, exactly what she wanted. Also, if your oriental your prone to have oily to normal skin and this foundation is water based and oil free! For the eyes I applied soft pinks and brown eyeshadows from Nature's Solutions. I also used the blush from Nature's Solutions which gave her a beautiful glow.

I ended off with darkening her eyebrows with a soft Lancome dark brown eye shadow and Lancome's Juicey Tubes lip gloss!

*Now here's a tip for get away weddings. If you plan your wedding day a few days into the trip, when buying a foundation always remmber that your going to be about 2 shades dark then what you are before your trip. And, make sure that if you are sun taning put sunblock evenly all over your body and including your neck and ears.
